There’s not a whole lot to say about the ride out of Geneva but it ended at a fantastic hotel. I arrived hungry and the hotel had free pizza. And not artistically made fancy pizza on a paper thin crust with toppings stingily globbed here or there. And it wasn’t cheapo chemical laden greasy fast food pizza either. This was hearty crust pizza that was made on a stone, or cooked on one– or had some in the flour. The cheese was from France so it was better than what we get in the USA. And it had fresh green things on top. I was so happy.

My hotel is on the French side of Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) and I was given a room with a balcony over looking the water. The city of Lausanne is across the lake. This is where I’m going to hangout for a bit and do some work because this little world of balcony views and pizza is all I want right now.

On my ride I still felt a chill from the day before. I’m getting some clear messages that I should take it easy or I’m going to get sick. I’ll have to resist the urge to explore the mountains looming up behind my hotel. But it is beautiful to look at! Today I will write, draw and computer while basking in the views.
