Mountain biking is so full of absurd tech. Wireless shifting, laser guided suspension, and soft tires you have to pump up harder so they feel normal. Dropper posts seem like they would be at the top end of absurdity but the simple addition of an easily-put-out-of-the-way saddle adjuster makes mountain biking a lot more fun. I can’t deny the practicality but they still make me giggle. You push a button and your seat fires up like a jack-in-the-box. Like an ejector seat, like a mechanical erection!
