I had the wonderful pleasure of working with both Vans and Fairdale Bikes on a colab package. We started with one of my signature bikes, the Taj 27.5″ cruiser, and covered it in some special decals I drew. My character Giraffe is the star of the Vans x Fairdale bike. He also appears on two Vans shoes they let me design (all veggie) along with a water bottle and shirt from Fairdale. Pretty darned sweet project to get to work on.

For the last couple years I’ve been carrying around a sketchbook with a half written kid’s book about Giraffe. I tapped into a bit of Giraffe’s character for the project and the accompanying animation. Someday I’ll finish that story and publish it. I think it will be a good little story and not too complicated to complete.
